West Virginia Votes Today

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) Hillary Rodham Clinton has every reason to expect a big win today in the West Virginia primary. But hopes that it will turn around her presidential bid appear to be fading. Barack Obama may be only a few weeks from clinching the Democratic presidential nomination, no matter what happens in West Virginia or in another Clinton stronghold, Kentucky, a week from now. Clinton hopes to use strong showings in West Virginia and Kentucky to make the case that Obama is weak among key Democratic constituents. Superdelegates have been moving to Obama's side -- 26 of them in the week since he routed Clinton in North Carolina and narrowly lost Indiana. Obama will be in Missouri tonight. It's considered a bellweather of the fall campaign.
