NBA: Cavs Knot Series

CLEVELAND (AP) The NBA's top team during the regular season remains winless on the road in the playoffs. LeBron James shot only 7-for-20 but finished with 21 points and 13 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers knocked off the Celts 88-77 to tie the Eastern Conference semifinal series at two games apiece. He had four assists, a three-pointer and an emphatic dunk in the final 8:45, helping the Cavaliers outscore Boston 20-12 in the fourth quarter. James is shooting just 20-for-78 versus the Celtics, but the Cavs have turned the series into a best-of-three after dropping Boston to 0-and-5 on the road in the postseason. Celtics forward Kevin Garnett grabbed 10 rebounds but scored just two of his 15 points in the second half. Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo also had 15 points for the Celtics, who host Game 5 Wednesday. Mike D'Antoni will be formally introduced as the New York Knicks' head coach today. He wrapped up his contract negotiations with the Knicks last night, accepting a deal reportedly worth $24 million over the four years. D'Antoni coached the Phoenix Suns to a 232-and-96 mark the last four years and was given permission by the team to seek another job. He replaces Isiah Thomas, who was fired last month after going 56-108 in two seasons.
